#Alex reads comics daily. In fact Hank believes it’s the only type of material he does read. Hank had assumed at first that it was because Alex wasn’t very smart but he knows better now. He knows it’s because Alex wants to believe that his powers what makes him different from everyone else could make him a superhero and not a criminal.#So when they eventually start doing whatever it is they’re doing with their sneaky kisses on the grounds and the awkward groping in Hanks lab it comes as no surprise to Hank that Alex wants to play Spiderman. #However what does surprise Hank is that Alex wants Hank to be Spiderman. #But I’m no Spiderman Hank stutters He’s cool and he gets the girl and he’s brave. #Alex just smiles and laughs Don’t worry Bozo. He says affectionately before Spiderman became Spiderman he was a total nerd who couldn’t talk to girls. Just like you.#Hank knows now that teasing is one of Alex’s ways of expressing affection. The other way involves a lot less talking and a lot more dark corners. It also helps that Alex mumbles Besides you are a hero. A stupid genius hero who stops me from spazzing all over the place. afterwards. #And so Hank finds himself flipping upwards and dangling awkwardly from a lamp while Alex just stands below smiling. #And Hank can’t decide whether it’s the rush of blood in his head or Alex’s blindingly bright smile that makes him so lightheaded.
